Chicago Building Code / City Tie Disconnect Module
The Chicago Building Code / City Tie Disconnect Module provides the ability to
disconnect the City Tie Box from a location other than the fire alarm control panel. It
consists of a disconnect switch operated by a two-pole caption key-operated switch, and
a white incandescent lamp that indicates when the city tie has been disconnected. Once
the switch has been activated by turning the key, the key can not be removed from the
lock until the city tie disconnect switch is again placed in the connect position. A
Trouble condition at the panel may be obtained by cutting the option resistor R1.
