4 Connecting the Master Control
Primary Source Connections
To connect the Source-of-Energy Module to the primary power source, perform the
following steps:
1.
CAUTION: Turn off the breaker at the main power distribution panel. All
sources of power must be disconnected before servicing.
2.
Remove the plastic insulating cover from the TB1 terminal block.
3.
Make the following connections:
• AC Source One Hot to screw terminal L1 HOT IN
• AC Source One Ground to screw terminal EARTH
• AC Source One Neutral to screw terminal NEUT IN
• AC Source Two Hot to screw terminal L2 HOT IN
• AC Source Two Ground to screw terminal EARTH
• AC Source Two Neutral to screw terminal NEUT IN

FACP Connections
Figure 11 through Figure 16 specifically illustrate the CBC Master Control connections
to each of the compatible NOTIFIER® Fire Alarm Control Panels, as well as to the
graphic annunciator, FCPS-24, and APS-6R.
Before starting, review the following notes.
NOTES:
• CAUTION: Turn off the power at the main power distribution panel. All
sources of power must be disconnected before servicing.
• All notification appliance circuits must be programmed for non-silenceable
operation.
• Wire size should be 12 - 18 AWG.
• Dress panels must be installed with all Fire Alarm Control Panels.
• JP2, D31, and R63 on the FCPS-24 must be cut for this application. Refer to the
FCPS-24 manual, PN 50059.
• Signal Silence/Drill Switch must be covered on the control panel. Refer to the
Installation Guide included in the CBC-KIT.
• Original panel labels must be removed and replaced with the labels supplied with
the CBC-KIT. Refer to the Installation Guide included in the CBC-KIT.
