2 • Meet the DM800™ Series Digital Mailing System 

Connectors on the Back of the Mailing System Base

Dual External Device Ports - 

Two USB ports are located on the back, 

lower right side of the machine. These provide communications with exter-

nal devices like a printer, an external scale, a PC or modem. If you have 

an external modem and you need to connect to one of these ports, refer to 

External Modem Connections

 in this chapter. 

Power Stacker Connector -

 Use this connector to attach an optional 

power stacker. 

Serial Port Connector - 

One Pitney Bowes serial port connector. This is 

for Pitney Bowes use only.
