The recorder will first determine the length of the tape.
This takes a few moments.
• To cancel copying, press and hold ONE TOUCH
COPY
for more than a second.
About automatic finalization
If you use a Video mode DVD-R/RW disc for copying, it
will automatically be finalized after copying is complete.
• You can’t customize the background for DVD-R/RW
disc finalization.
• No title names are assigned.
• If you want to give the disc a name, please do so
before you start the copy (see Title Name on page 81).
• If a timer recording is scheduled to start, and in some
other instances, the disc will not be finalized.
One Touch Copy: VHS HDD
During VHS playback, One Touch Copy starts copying the
currently playing VHS material to the HDD.
1 Press REC MODE to select the HDD recording
mode.
2 Load and play the source tape.
3 From the point at which you want to start
copying, press ONE TOUCH COPY.
Copy Select: VHS HDD/DVD
This feature lets you record from any point in the tape to
the end, to either HDD or DVD (assuming there is
enough space on the HDD/DVD).
1 Press VHS to switch to VHS.
2 Load the tape you want to copy.
3 Find the point on the tape that you want to copy
from.
4 Select 'HDD' or 'DVD' depending on where you
want to copy to.
Note
1.• Regardless of the setting for Auto Blank Cut on page 109, copying will pause if there is a section of tape with nothing recorded on it. If there
is more than five minutes of non-recorded tape then copying will stop completely.
• If you are copying to a Video mode DVD-R/RW then the disc will be automatically finalized after copying is complete.
• After copying, the tape is automatically rewound and ejected.

3 Select 'VHS to HDD Copy' or 'VHS to DVD Copy’.
4 Load the source tape and find the point you
want to copy from.
Use the usual VCR playback controls on the remote
control for this.
5 Select 'Start Rec' to start copying.
