motor.Itisimplementedviatheservoamplifier'sshutdownpathandthe
safetycard'ssafeoutputs.
Featuresofthesafetyfunction:
Themotorbecomestorque-freeandnolongergeneratesanyhazard-
ousmovements.
Topreventthedriverunningdowninanuncontrolledmanner,innor-
maloperationthesafetyfunctionSTOisactivatedviathesafetyfunc-
tionSS1.
STOisonlyactivateddirectlywhen
– thereisaninternalerrorontheservoamplifierorsafetycard
– theSTOdelaytimeissetto0
– theinputs"SS1Activate"and"SS1SIL3/Reset"simultaneously
switchtoa"0"signal
TheSTO-ENABLEresetlockontheservoamplifierhasnofunctionif
theservoamplifiercontainsasafetycard.Theoutputcontactislinked
internally.Inthiscase,thesafetycardactivatesthesafepulsedisa-
blerontheservoamplifierinordertoshutdownthepowerelement.
Thesafetyfunction"SafeTorqueOff"correspondstoacategory 0
stop(uncontrolledstop)inaccordancewithEN 60204-1.
