This block is used to establish a connection between two communication partners via an IP
connection.

If you set this input to TRUE, the block will attempt to establish a connection
to the IP address specified under PARTNER. However, connection
establishment is only possible if the block is called at both communication
partners and both partners request communication establishment.

This input specifies the communication partner to be used for communication.

Enter the partner IP address followed by some optional parameters.

Use the syntax specified below this table.

Output
This output indicates whether a valid connection has been established.
Following successful connection establishment, the output is set to TRUE.
The output remains in the TRUE state as long as the connection is
established.
The returned communication connection ID must be transferred to the
IP_USEND and IP_URCV function blocks. You can connect the ID output of
the IP_CONNECT block directly to the ID input at the IP_USEND and
IP_URCV blocks.

Rising edge: an error has occurred. The error code can be read at the
STATUS output during the cycle in which the rising edge occurs.

Unique ID of the communication connection. If several communication
connections are established, the ID parameter can be used to distinguish
between them. ID is only valid if the VALID output = TRUE.
