4.2.1. Setting the reservation mode for cars with a manual gearbox.
By setting up the reservation mode you will make sure that there is always a neutral position
on.
1. After the car is parked, before turning ignition off, put the gear into a neutral position.
2. Tie the handbrake up.
3. Now turn the ignition off and pull the keys out. The engine keeps running.
4. Get out of the car and close the door. Depending on the mode in programming menu 1-05
(installation manual page 43), the engine will shut either after closing the door or after the
door are closed and you press button l. The car is now ready for remote start. The remote
will display icon.
Reservation mode will be automatically cancelled, if the hand brake is released or the door is
open or you enter valet mode. In this case you need to repeat all previous steps.
Cancellation of reservation mode.
If you do not need the reservation mode on, press the brake pedal when ignition is off, or turn
the ignition off with handbrake not tied up. The engine will shut.
Note
If the reservation mode has not been set, or has been cancelled and you try to remote start, it
will not work. The remote will beep 3 times, lights will flash 3 times and after that 5 more times
in order to indicate that the reservation mode has not been set
If you have set the reservation mode up, the lights on the dashboard may be on for 3 seconds
after the engine is off (it is a normal procedure).
If you have set the reservation mode up (after taking the key out), the ABS warning light may
be flashing (it is a normal procedure)
Attention!
If the alarm is fitted in the car with a manual gearbox, you must set the reservation mode up when
remote starting. The manufacturer and distributor are not to be held responsible for any accident
resulting from selecting a wrong mode (automatic transmission mode) for a manual transmission
vehicle. Customer must confirm this with his/her installer and check and inspect by himself/herself.
Automatic transmission vehicles must be checked in the same manner, ensuring that the vehicle will not
be started by the key when the transmission is not in either “P” or “N”.
4.3. Vibrating mode On/Off
By two short presses of button II the vibrating mode will be activated.
This will be indicated by an icon. Acoustic signal will not be active,
only vibrations, when buttons pressed on remote
.
By pressing the
button II 2 times again, vibrating mode will be deactivated and the
icon will disappear. Acoustic signal will be activated again.
4.4. AUX Mode Entry On/Off
By outputs AUX 1 and AUX 2 (when AUX2 is set as an additional output - see Programming
menu 2-10 installation manual page 44) you can operate any additional equipment in your car
such as: opening/closing the windows, turning the light on/off, and other features. Ask for
more info at your service centre.
