Dust container and filter cylinder
For optimal performance, always empty the dust container after use and clean the filter
cylinder regularly.

Disconnect the hose from the appliance.

Pull at the cover release tab (1) and open the cover (2) (Fig. 21).

Remove the dust container from the appliance (Fig. 22).

Remove the lid of the dust container (Fig. 23).

To remove the filter cylinder case, turn it anticlockwise (1) and lift it out of the dust
container (2) (Fig. 24).

Remove the filter cylinder from the dust container (Fig. 25).

To clean the filter cylinder, tap it against the side of a dustbin (Fig. 26).

Empty the dust container into a dustbin (Fig. 27).

Put the filter cylinder back into the dust container (Fig. 28).

Put the filter cylinder case back onto the filter cylinder (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it
(2) (Fig. 29).

Reattach the lid of the dust container (1) and close it (‘click’) (2) (Fig. 30).

Put the dust container back into the appliance (Fig. 31).

Close the cover (‘click’) (Fig. 32).
super Parquet nozzle
Replace the pads at least every three months.
New pads (type HR8041) are available from your local Philips dealer.
Regular cleaning

Remove the parquet nozzle from the appliance and vacuum clean the pads while they are still
attached to the nozzle. Select the lowest suction power setting.
Thorough cleaning
1
Pull the pads off the discs (the pads are fastened to the discs with Velcro).

Clean the pads in warm water with some soap or in the washing machine.
Wash the pads separately according to the instructions on the laundry care label.
Never use chloride or fabric softener to clean the pads.

Let the pads dry properly before you use them again.

Reattach the red sides of the clean pads to the discs.
Note: The light blue sides of the pads have to be in contact with the floor, not the red sides.

Switch off the appliance and remove the mains plug from the wall socket.

Press the cord rewind button to rewind the mains cord.
