If the electric power outage occurs during the course of a washing program and lasts a longer time,
then the door safety lock will disengage after 2 minutes. If there remains water inside the washing
machine, do not open the door. The water could fl ow out. If you need to take out the laundry, follow
the instructions described in part “Maintenance and cleaning” on page 16.
Child safety lock
Your washing machine is equipped with a child lock to prevent the changing the process of a program by
pressing a button during a wash. The child lock is activated by simultaneously pressing the fi rst and second
function buttons and holding them down for at least 3 seconds.
If the wash, rinse, and spinning indicator lights fl ash for about 2 seconds it means that the child lock has
been activated. To deactivate this function it is necessary to hold down the same buttons for longer than
3 seconds. If you press any button while the child lock function is activated, the pressed button will not be active
and the wash, rinse and spinning indicator lights will fl ash for 2 seconds. A soon as the function is cancelled, the
indicator lights will stop fl ashing. When a program has ended, the child lock function is automatically deactivated.
