1. Press and hold down the „P“ program button.
2. Meanwhile press the ON/OFF button.
3. Hold down the program button until the „SL“ displayed on the screen disappears. Then release the program
button.
4. The previously set water hardness level will be shown (salt consumption).
5. Use the +/- buttons to set the water hardness level.
6. To
confi rm and save into the dishwasher‘s memory press the ON / OFF button.
NOTE:
Your water supplier will provide you with information about the hardness of your water.
CAUTION!
If your dishwasher does not have a water softening system, you can skip this chapter.
Adding salt into the salt container
Always use salt designed for dishwashers.
The salt compartment is located under the lower rack and you should refi ll it in the following manner.
NOTE
Use only salt specifi cally designed for use in dishwashers! Any other kind of salt, which is not
specifi cally designed for use in dishwashers, particularly table salt, would damage the softener
system in the dishwasher. Damage caused by the use of inappropriate salt is not covered by
the manufacturer's guarantee and the manufacturer takes no responsibility for any damages
caused.
Add the salt before starting one of the full washing cycle programs. This will prevent salt
crystals or salt water from lying at the bottom of the dishwasher, where this could lead to
corrosion.
