3.4 Mounting
There are grooves on the sides and back of the light grids for inserting M6 hexagon screws
to mount the devices. Make sure the devices are mounted such that they are not twisted.
A mounting set for securing and aligning the device is available as an accessory. Two
mounting sets are required for each profile.
3.5 Installation
The electrical connection for the profiles is established via the end cap with cable duct.
Refer to the connection diagrams for the terminal assignment.
Make sure that the connection cable to the SLP 8-2-A active column is safeguarded
against short circuits (for example, protected installation or cable with wires shielded from
one another) or that the emitter cable is laid separately.
3.6 Adjustment
The emitters generate visible red light. This ensures that the beam emitted can be easily
observed. When making adjustments, make sure that the emitter and receiver profiles are
installed vertically and that the axis of the first beam is positioned at the prescribed dis-
tance from the ground (EN ISO 13855).
The emitter profile must be aligned so that the light beams fall on the receiver profile. The
receiver profile must then be adjusted so that the indicators for the receiver channels light
up continuously. Check the control unit to see whether the relevant channel indicator is ac-
tive.
3.7 Indicators
The emitter profiles do not have any indicators. The red emitter beams indicate that the
emitter is ready.
A red standby indicator above the cable gland on the receiver profile lights up when the
power supply is connected. Each receiver in the profile is fitted with a red indicator that
shows the status of the receiver channel:
