Diagnostic Manager Connection

Diagnostic Manager Connection to HD2-DM-A
Make sure that all parameters (e.g. COM-, device address) are set cor-
rectly and that the FDS-Server is running (chapter 7.1).

Right-click on the FDS in your project and choose
Connect

Right-click on the Diagnostic Module in your project and choose

Import prepared or saved Diagnostic Project with
PACT
ware
TM
To import prepared topologies and configurations or to load current
projects out of the FDS, the Diagnostic Manager provides the "Get To-
pology" function. By using this Wizard you are able to load the latest
saved configuration out of the FDS after the diagnostic device has been
changed or to compare and update an offline created project with the
data of the saved FDS configuration.

Load a prepared Topology and Configuration

Open the device cataloge and Drag&Drop

into your project window/HOST PC

Right-click on the FDS in your project and choose

functions/Get Topology

Set
Read Topology from File

Choose directory and file

Go forward with Next
The wizard shows the loaded configuration and the changes that
will be made in your active project.

Go forward with Next and follow the instructions of the wizard.
Communication Problems by using a COM Port Converter
If communication problems between Diagnostic Manager and Diagnostic
module occurs:
Activate the FIFO (First In First Out) cache on the COM Port Converter.
