IntelliTouch ScreenLogic User’s Guide
Configuring Valve Actuators (Controlled by AUX or Feature Circuit)
All IntelliTouch systems can drive two auxiliary valve actuators (A and B) for applications such as solar heating and
water features. With the addition of the Valve Module (P/N 520285), installed in the Load Center, the system can
accommodate up to three additional actuators (C, D, and E) for a total of five. Before configuring auxiliary valve
actuators, first assign names to the AUX or FEATURE circuits (page 35). Auxiliary valve actuators can be
controlled by any
AUX
circuit or
Feature
circuit. Please note that the i5 and i5S models do not include FEATURE
circuits and therefore must use the AUX circuits for controlling valve actuators. By using FEATURE circuits to
control valve actuators, you can conserve your AUX circuits for high voltage relays for controlling pumps and lights.
You can also use Macro circuits to couple valve actuators with AUX circuits for specific applications.
Use the following information to calculate the number of available valves:
•
Main Load Center or Power Center (all models)
= 2 (A & B)
•
Valve Module (if yes enter 3)
= 3 (C, D & E)
•
Number of Expansion Centers (3 x 2)
= 6 (A & B)
•
Number of Valve Modules on Expansion Center (13x 3)
= 3 (C, D & E)
TOTAL = 20
