Adjust Alarm Levels or Setpoints
PT495 Series has two (2) fully programmable relays for Low and High alarms. The
third relay is used for Sensor Fault or malfunction. The alarm levels can be set
anywhere between 0 and the full scale range of the sensor. Also they can be
configured as Latching or non-latching. The relays have Form “C” type contacts.
*** Note: Zero alarm level is used to disable alarm relays. If the Alarm relays
are not connected or used simply
set to 0 level.
Setting Low and High alarm levels:
From the
Edit Config
menu select “
Set Low Alarm
”. First the alarm level is
adjusted and then relay type is set for either Latching or Non-Latching.
1.
The unit will display the current alarm level. To change this current alarm
setpoint, continue to hold the magnet. The alarm level is incremented by 1.
Hold the magnet to its position until the desired alarm level is reached. If the
alarm value displayed is higher than the value desired simply hold the magnet
to its position until the value rolls back to zero and then starts counting up
again. Or place the magnetic wand on the 8 o’clock position to decrement
the value. The alarm level rolls back to zero after full scale range of the
transmitter.
2.
Move the magnet away to stop changing the data value. After 5 seconds the
detector will jump into setting relay type mode.
3.
The unit will display either
nonLatch
or
Latching
for latching or non-
latching alarm relay type. Hold the magnet to its position and display will
toggle between these two relay type options. Select the desired alarm relay
type and move the magnet away.
