7.17 Fuel System
The airplane fuel system is specific to EPA power SA-R917Ti engine. It consists of two 42,5 liter
vented integral fuel Cell tanks (one tank in each wing) with a fuel strainer in each, fuel shutoff
valve, 2 parallel electric fuel pumps feeding fuel to all injectors through a fine fuel filter and to a
return line with a pressure regulator. The fuel system needs to hold a specific and accurate
pressure
CAUTION:
The injectors are sensitive to fuel pressure in the fuel rail. If the engine does not
run smooth, check if the fuel pressure is correct for the corresponding engine performance
setting. For the correct fuel pressure, refer to Operators Manual for EPA Power engine Type
SA-R917Ti.
