ADJUSTMENTS AFTER ASSEMBLY
• The Pedego Conveyor has a low maintenance Gates Carbon Drive
System. Proper belt tension is essential for optimum operation of
the drive system. Lack of proper belt tension can cause the belt to
slip or jump a tooth on the cog. Too much tension can damage the
bearings in the rear hub, can cause the system to drag, or increase
the wear of the drive system. Optimal belt tension for internally
geared hubs is between 35-50 Hz or 28-40 lbs measured with a
Gates Krikit tool or smartphone app. For instructional videos on
measuring belt tension visit

Hydraulic Disc Brakes
• If the brakes pads are rubbing the rotor, loosen the caliper fixing
bolts, pull the brake lever, and re-tighten the caliper fixing bolts.
Adjust the caliper by hand if needed.
• If the disc brake rotor is not true or rubbing the brake pads in a
certain spot, use a rotor truing fork to straighten the rotor.
Saddle & Seatpost
• The saddle height and angle is going to be a personal preference.
As a starting point, set the saddle angle parallel to the ground and
the seatpost height so you have at least a 10 degree bend in your
knee at full leg extension. Make sure not to extend the seatpost
past the minimum insertion mark.
