For taking rotation speed measurements the rotating part needs to be marked with a piece of reflective film. Self-adhesive reflective film can be purchased from Sick, for
example the material REF-PLUS.
Press the ◄ or ► key, until rotation speed and temperature are shown (Figure 35). Set the instrument up on the measuring point, without covering the light beam range with your
fingers. To help with the positioning, the PCE-VM
25 has a laser pointer which can be switched on and off by pressing F1.
