b. Gently remove air

lter and carefully turn the dirty side up (if dirty) to avoid spilling dirt from the

lter. (See Fig. 27.)

5. Inspect the
fi
lter. If torn, replace it.
NOTE:
If washable
fi
lter that was shipped with the furnace has been replaced with an electronic air cleaner (EAC), refer to the EAC
Owner’s Manual for maintenance information.
6. If washable
fi
lter, wash
fi
lter (if dirty) in a sink, bathtub, or outside with a garden hose. Always use cold tap water. A mild liquid
detergent may be used if necessary. Spray water through
fi
lter in the opposite direction of air
fl
ow. Allow
fi
lter to dry.
7. Reinstall clean air
fi
lter.
8. Reinstall
fi
lter retainer.
9. Replace blower access panel and main furnace door with two screws. (See Fig. 28 and 29.) Turn on electrical supply to the
furnace. (See Fig. 30.)
