Connect the Line Interface
To function properly, the CL1300 must be connected using a twisted-pair, uncondi-
tioned, dry, metal wire, between 19 (0.9mm) and 26 AWG (0.4mm). Leased circuits that
run through signal equalization equipment are not acceptable.
The Ethernet Extender is equipped with a RJ-45 interface jack (

), which conforms
to the T568B standard. As such, any standard Category 5e cable can be used to directly
connect two extenders. Depending on the extender model, it will have a two-wire or
four-wire interface.
