b) Store the garden power tool where
the fuel vapour will not reach an open
flame or spark. Always allow the garden
power tool to cool down before storing.
c) When not in use store the garden
power tool out of the reach of children.
d) Use only manufacturers
recommended replacement parts and
accessories.
e) When transporting or storing the
garden power tool, always fit the cutting
device transport guard.
5) Fuel handling
a) Follow the maintenance and repair
instructions for this garden power tool.
Never carry out any modifications of the
garden power tool. Never change the
preset rotary speed or the engine and
garden power tool settings. Information
about maintenance and repair is
provided in this user manual.
b) Never touch the garden power tool
heedlessly. You can burn yourself. While
the garden power tool is in operation or
shortly thereafter, its parts such as the
exhaust pipe, engine, and other surfaces
are extremely hot! Pay attention to the
markings on the garden power tool.
c) Make sure that the air intake of the
combustion engine is clear. Keep the air
intake free of dust, dirt particles, gases
and fumes.
d) Make sure that air circulation is
adequate and good. The garden power
tool must be
easily accessible from all
sides.
e) Always switch the garden power tool
off and let it cool down, before refuelling
it. Petrol is easily flammable. Never
smoke when you are refuelling the
garden power tool. Do not refuel the
garden power tool, if there is an open
fire in the vicinity!
f) Always use suitable aids such as
funnels and filler necks. Do not spill any
fuel on the garden power tool or its
exhaust system. There is a risk of
ignition. However, if fuel should be
spilled, then you must remove it carefully
from all parts of the garden power tool.
Any residue which may be present must
have completely volatilised, before the
garden power tool is put into operation!
g) Exhaust gases and fuel fumes are
noxious. Fuel fumes can ignite. Never
use the garden power tool in
environments where there is a risk of
explosion.
h) Never breathe in any fuel fumes,
when you are refuelling the garden
power tool. Never fill the tank in
enclosed spaces, such as basements or
sheds. There is a risk of poisoning and
explosion!
i) Avoid skin contact with petrol.
j) Do not eat or drink, while you are
refuelling the garden power tool. If you
have swallowed petrol or oil, or if petrol
or oil has got into your eyes, then seek
the advice of a doctor immediately.
k) Close the tank lid immediately after
filling the tank. Make sure that it is
properly closed.
l) Never use the garden power tool
without an air filter.
