The blade guard on the brush cutter has a very important function. Before first use of the
brush cutter, this blade guard must be attached to the brush cutter using the supplied
screws. This blade guard must always be fitted on the brush cutter during operation.
Check this blade guard before each use of the brush cutter. If the blade guard gets
damaged (cracks, breaks, etc.), contact your dealer and have it replaced.
Missing guards or using non-conforming or modified blade guards may result in personal
injury to the operator and bystanders.
Keep the handles clean and free of oil or fuel mixture.
When operating the brush cutter, always use the handles and harness.
Do not smoke when preparing the fuel mixture or filling the fuel tank.
Do not mix the fuel mixture in an enclosed room or near an open flame. Ensure sufficient
ventilation.
Always mix and store the fuel in a properly marked container that is approved for such
use in accordance with the applicable national laws and regulations.
Never remove the fuel tank cap while the engine is running.
Never start or run the engine inside an enclosed room or a building. The engine exhaust
gas emissions from this product contain chemicals which can cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm.
The exhaust gases contain fatal carbon monoxide!
Never attempt to adjust the engine while the brush cutter is running and hanging from
the operator’s harness. Always adjust the engine with the brush cutter resting on a flat
and clean surface.
Never use the brush cutter if damaged or poorly adjusted. Never remove the safety
guards. Failure to observe this requirement may result in personal injury to the operator
and bystanders, as well as damage to the brush cutter.
Check the area you are going to mow and remove any objects which could become
entangled in the string trimming head. Remove any objects which could be thrown up
during operation of the brush cutter.
Store the brush cutter out of reach of children.
Never leave the brush cutter unattended.
Never use the brush cutter for any other purposes than it is intended for in accordance
with these Operating Instructions.
Do not overreach when working with the brush cutter. Always keep a proper footing and
balance when working with the brush cutter. Do not run the brush cutter when standing
on a ladder or in any other unstable position. Always use the provided harness in the
correct manner when working with the brush cutter.
Keep your hands and feet away from the string cutting head or cutting blade when the
brush cutter is in operation.
Never use this type of machine for sweeping away debris.
Never use the brush cutter when you are tired, ill or under the influence of medications,
drugs or alcohol.
Use only an undamaged string cutting head. If you hit a stone or any other obstacle, stop
the brush cutter and check the condition of the string cutting head. Never use a
damaged or unbalanced string cutting head.
