PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
TO PREPARE THE FUEL MIXTURE, USE ONLY OIL FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINES AND
UNLEADED GASOLINE FREE OF ETHANOL OR METHANOL (ALCOHOLS). YOU WILL
THUS AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE FUEL LINES AND OTHER ENGINE
COMPONENTS.
NEVER MIX GASOLINE AND OIL DIRECTLY IN THE FUEL TANK.
IMPORTANT: Failure to follow the instructions for proper fuel mixture preparation can result in
damage to the engine.
1. Prepare only an amount of fuel mixture you are able to use during the planned work. Do not
use fuel which has been stored longer than two months. A fuel mixture stored longer than
this can cause poor starting and performance of the engine. Fuel which has been stored
longer than two months must be replaced with a fresh fuel mixture.
WARNING
DANGER
2. Never fill the fuel tank up to the edge.
3. Never refuel the tank in enclosed and unventilated rooms.
4. Never refuel the tank near to open flames or sources of sparks.
5. Always wipe up all spilled fuel before starting the engine.
6. Do not perform refuelling when the engine is hot.
PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
1. Check the screws, nuts and fitting for looseness.
2. Check the air filter for fouling and if necessary clean it of all dirt before operation.
3. Check the protective guard for proper installation and position.
4. Check for any leaks.
5. Check and make sure the cutting blade does not move when the engine is running at idle
speed.
