Push the crown home again.
After you have performed these settings, the local
time indicated with the hour and minute hands
will correspond to the time displayed on the
24 -hour ring beneath the city name at 12 o’clock
(at the top of the dial).
Caution: Please take off the watch before you set the time.
This prevents lateral pressure on the winding stem tube. Please
use your fingernails to pull the crown out and turn it gently
between two fingertips.
Never pull out the crown in a humid environment or under-
water. The water resistance of your watch is assured only
when the crown is pushed home.
changing the time zone
When traveling to a different time zone, you
merely need to actuate the time-zone pusher at
10 o’clock until the city that represents the new
time zone is in the 12 o’clock position.
Three corrections are made each time the pusher
is pressed: the hour hand moves clockwise in one-
hour steps while the city disk and the
24 -hour ring
both move counterclockwise.
These corrections do not influence the motion of
the minute hand.
Note: Press the time-zone pusher all the way in and release
it fully before you press it again.
The city disk does not move as long as you remain in the
same time zone, but the 24-hour ring, connected to the dial
train, will gradually rotate counterclockwise. The interaction
of the city disk and the 24-hour ring allows you to read the
time in any of the world’s 24 time zones whenever you wish.
