Opening the Back Cover
To open the back cover, follow the steps below.

Turn off the computer to which the monitor is connected.

Turn off the monitor.

Unplug the monitor from its power source.

Disconnect the cables attached to the left side of the monitor:
•
Power Input cable
•
Touchscreen cable (either USB or serial)
•
Video Input cable (either Analog or DVI-D)
•
Ground cable

Remove the monitor from its enclosure or arm.

Place the monitor face down on a static dissipative mat in a location
free from dirt and moisture and protected against static discharge.

Remove the retaining nuts that secure the back cover. There are 12
retaining screws on 15" units and 16 retaining nuts on 17" units.

Slowly tilt the back cover just enough to gain access to the internal
cables that connect to it. Refer to the figure below.

Important: Be careful not to lift the back cover too quickly and
accidently pull the cables off of the board.

Disconnect the touchscreen, display and inverter board cables from
their connectors as shown in Figure 4-2. Be sure to disconnect the
