The monitor is designed to be used with a computer—either a PowerStation
or another computer running MS-DOS or Windows 98, NT 4.0, Embedded
NT, 2000, or XP. If you purchased a PowerStation with your monitor, your
complete PowerStation system is set up and ready for you to use once you
connect the components.
However, if you are connecting your monitor to another computer, you
need to complete the setup procedures described in this chapter, including:
how to connect the monitor to your computer, how to prepare the monitor
to work with your computer, and how to read and adjust the on-screen
display (OSD).
Connecting to a Non-display PowerStation
To connect your monitor to a non-display PowerStations, complete the
following steps. Note that the PM1 monitor does not have a USB
touchscreen port or a DVI-D video port.
1
Connect a video cable between the 15-pin Analog Video port and the
non-display PowerStation, see Figure 3-1.
2
Connect the touchscreen cable between the Serial port and the
COM2(B) serial communication port on the non-display PowerStation.
