T1/E1 Connector
The T1/E1 8-way RJ48 socket is used to:

Connect a Mode 3 network computer
‰
Connect a Mode 2 network computer
‰
Connect to a digital voice and data network.
The connector pin-out is shown below and detailed in Table 10.

E1 - Balanced 120 ohm (±10%), 2.048 Mbits per
second (±50 ppm), AMI/HDB3 Coding.
Protected with 28 V differential and common mode
clamp and 1.25 A fuse in each line.

6 Remote on/off An input that is primarily used by a Park Air E1-RIC
equipment to switch the radio on and off (0 V = off,
5 V = on). For this facility to work, the radio’s rear
panel Power switch must be set to on and the E1-RIC
must be powered from an external source.
7 Ground 0 V.
8 20 to 35 Vdc (nominally
28 V) Output supply used to power an E1-RIC.
