The back section base angle can be adjusted at any degree from 0° to 70° using a lever.
●
When raising the backrest, be sure to lock the casters. Otherwise,
the stretcher may move during operation, resulting in an injury.
●
Hold the grip of the back section base with one hand, hold
the backrest lever on the back section base with your other
hand, and pull the back section base up. The back section
base rises due to gas spring pressure. Let go of the backrest
lever to lock the back section base in position.
4. Raising the backrest
●
When raising the backrest, unfasten the two pairs of restraint belts
(see p. 16). Otherwise, the patient may get injured.
●
After raising the backrest, secure the patient with the two pairs of
restraint belts. Otherwise, the patient may fall off and get injured.

●
Hold the grip of the back section base with one hand, hold
the backrest lever on the back section base with your other
hand, and lower the back section base supporting its weight.
Let go of the backrest lever to lock the back section base
in position.
●
When lowering the back section base,
hold the grip of the back section base
with the hand grip that is not holding
the backrest lever. Holding other parts
may cause an injury because
the operator’s hands or fingers
may get caught.
●
When lowering the back section base, prevent the back section base
from contacting the oxygen cylinder or flowmeter. Contact may
damage the flowmeter or other equipment.
Backrest angle indication
●
When the transfer board is up, an approximate angle for
the backrest can be read on the scale on the side.
* The upper surface of the back section base is the guide for
the scale.

Use the angle indicator on the transfer board as
guide when adjusting the angle to which to raise
the backrest.
* Do not hold any other place besides the grip.
