Add DHCP Server
To add an entry,
click on on the Add button, and fill out the following parameters. Click on
Apply
to submit the settings.
Interface: eth0/usb0.
This configures the interface that will provide the DHCP function.
By factory default, the entry for interface
eth0
is defined with the gateway address
192.168.1.1, and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. The default entry for interface
usb0
is defined
with the gateway address 0.0.0.0, and subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Starting IP Address:
The first IP address of the address pool in the DHCP server. Note the
IP address should be in the same subnet as the IAD’s LAN IP address.
End IP Address:
The last IP address of the address pool in the DHCP server. Note the IP
address should be in the same subnet as the IAD’s LAN IP address.
Subnet:
The subnet mask of the selected interface.
Netmask:
The subnet mask of the IP network
Gateway:
The gateway IP address
Primary DNS:
The IP address of the Domain Name Server
Secondary DNS:
The secondary IP address of the Domain Name Server
Lease Time (in Days):
Upon login, the remote workstation will obtain an IP address. This
field defines the period of time that the workstation can use this IP address to access the
Internet.
