Before switc hing the Panther on, make absolutely sure that the entire lift, panning and operating
range of dolly and ac c essories is c lear.

Supply the dolly with elec tric ity as desc ribed in "Power Supply" p. 10, 11. Note: Please fully
c omply with instruc tions.
3.
Chec k if handset, c able and dolly are properly c onnec ted.

Set the switc hes on front panel (7) as desired (see "Front Panel", p. 6, 7, 8).

Turn the Panther on at the main switc h. The c ontrol LED "POWER" on the front panel will light up,
showing that the Panther is on. Make sure the battery (batteries) is (are) fully c harged. You c an
keep the main switc h "on" due to the "On-Off" - switc h loc ated
on the handset (16) whic h enables you to switc h the dolly "on" or "off".
The Dolly does not turn on if one of these two switc hes is off.
6.
Using the handset (16), bring the c olumn to the desired position. Press the manual c ontrol switc h
forward to elevate the c olumn, pull bac k to lower the c olumn. This switc h also determines the
speed of travel, ac c ording to the pressure used.
Note: When not using the c olumn lift, switc h the Panther off to c onserve battery power.
The Super Panther has a "On-Off" - switc h loc ated on the handset, next to the manual c ontrol
switc h (red knob). This switc h is used to stop the elevating mec hanism during unintentional
movements.
The Super Panther III may not be operated with mains power units + c hargers sold before 1
January, 1996.
