following sections describe these features and are referenced, by letter, to
Figure-2
. Note that aside from differences in LCD
specifications for the differrent models, all
HDMon
monitors are identical in operation and features.
Ethernet Connector
Ethernet 10/100 Base T network connectivity is provided at this
RJ45
connector. A standard network cable
attached between this connector provides communication to a
Windows
computer for remote panel control and
setup over a network using the
Wohler
NETMON
application
GUI
. The unit may also be networked to compatible
dedicated remote control panels. Default network address is for
DHCP
assignment at boot. Network setup for
normal operation is accomplished through the
Console
application (see page
11

Console Serial Connector
Terminal serial based connectivity is provided at this
DB-9
connector. A cable attached between this connector
and a serial terminal interface allows for remote setup of a number of parameters using the integrated
Console
application in the
HDMon
firmware. Instructions for setting up and using the
Console
is provided on page

.

Tally and Remote Control Connector
This
DB-9
connector provides optically isolated connectivity to a tally system or remote control over the units
functions. Configuration of the remote inputs may be performed through the
Console
or the
Wohler NETMON
Windows
application. Refer to the
Remote Cfg Menu
on page
13
in the
Console Operation
section for how to assign parameter
settings to these buttons. For Tally pinout diagram and interface specifications, see page
30.
Power Connector (AC Mains Power)
Attach the supplied
IEC-320
power cord between this connector and mains power (
100 - 240VAC nominal, 50/
60 Hz
). The front panel

HD/SD-SDI Input and Output Connectors and Lock Status LEDs
The two BNC connectors labeled
IN
(
SDI 1
and
SDI 2
), accept either
HD-SDI
or
SD-SDI
video input signals. The
two BNC connectors labeled
OUT
(
SDI 1
and
SDI 2
), output an equalized copy of the
HD/SD-SDI
signal entering
the associated input. Connectors are terminated at 75 Ohms. The
Lock Status LED
s
(
SDI 1
and
SDI 2
) light
GREEN if the
HD/SD-SDI
input signal entering the associated input is valid and locked, but is UNLIT if there is
no signal detected or the signal is not valid.
Composite Video Input Connector (Vid.)
This BNC connector accepts
CVBS
video input signals.
S-Video Video Input Connector (Y/C)
This 4-Pin Mini-DIN connector accepts
S-Video (Y/C)
