choosing
either
a
single
solid
tone
or
dual
alternating
tone.
WARNING:
Do
not
connect
the
device
to
an
active
AC
circuit
exceeding
24V.

Tip
&
Ring
NOTE:
This
measurement
cannot
be
performed
on
ISDN
lines
or
switch
boards.
1.
Set
the
switch
to
OFF.
2.
Connect
the
RED
test
lead
to
the
side
of
one
line
and
the
BLACK
lead
to
the
side
of
another
line.
3.
The
LED
will
glow
GREEN
when
you
connect
the
RED
test
lead
to
the
RING
SIDE
of
the
line.
4.
The
LED
will
glow
RED
when
you
connect
the
RED
test
lead
to
the
TIP
SIDE
of
the
line.

Set
the

Connect
the
red
test
lead
to
the
RING
side
of
the
line
and
the
black
test
lead
to

bright
GREEN
LED
indicates
a
clear
line.
4.
A
bright
RED
LED
indicates
a
busy
line.
5.
A
bright
flickering
YELLOW
LED
indicates
a
ringing
line.
