Backlight
To turn the backlight on or off, press for two seconds the button (6.1).
Auto power off
If no further measurements are carried out, the device switches off
automatically after 10 minutes.
DC current measurement / AC Current measurement
(Measurement via Induction clamp)

Always measure current on one conductor only.
Covering more than one conductor results in measuring differential current
(like identifying leakage current). To avoid measuring errors related to other
hot conductors, Please observe maximum phase-to-phase clearance.
•
Set the rotary switch to the position 600 A or 1000 A
With the function key FUNC (6.2) you switch between AC and DC.
To start the VFD function, press the FUNC/VFD (3.2) button for 3 seconds.
(VFD = variable frequency drive/variable frequencies measurement) The
VFD symbol appears in the display.
With the function key RAN (6.3) you can change the measuring range
during the measurement.
AC: With the function key Hz % (6.4) you switch between frequency and
duty-cycle measurement.

Press the lever to open the induction jaw.
•
Close the jaw and place the conductor centered between the induction
clamps.
•
Once the reading stabilizes, read the value.
DC: If the polarity is reversed a "Minus sign" is displayed.
DC current measurement µA-Range
(Measurement via Input terminal)
•
Set the rotary switch to the position µA
•
Attach the pin-plug of the black test lead to the COM-jack and the
pin-plug of the red test lead to the INPUT-jack.
•
Touch the measuring points with the probe tips.
