F8 Mode: Service Adjustment
Set the machine to Service Mode, and press the
“8”
key on the Control Panel.
↓
Press the
“Start”
key to enter the F8 Service Mode on the Control Panel.
↓
Select the desired code number on the Touch Panel display.
↓
If you wish to select another function, select the Tab key on the Touch Panel display, or scroll the menu
with the
“
”
,
“
”
buttons.
↓
Select the desired function on the Touch Panel display, and then select the
“OK”
button.
When the
“Stop”
key is pressed on the Control Panel, the selected code input will not be accepted.
↓
Select the
“Close”
button on the Touch Panel display.
↓
Press the
“Function”
, and the
“C (Clear)”
keys simultaneously on the Control Panel to exit the Service
Mode.
↓
Reboot the machine after setting the parameter(s) to activate the setting(s). (Turn the Power Switch on
the Left Side of the machine to the
OFF
then back to the
ON
position.)

Exp. Lamp Replacement
When replacing the exposure lamp.
Procedure:
a) Press the Start key to move the exposure lamp to
the position (approx. 250 mm from the optics
home position) where it can be replaced.
b) To return the optical system to the home position,
press the Clear key.*

Error Log Print/View
a) Each time the arrow key is pressed, the machine
displays errors or paper jam codes stored in
memory, beginning with the oldest code.

Only the 30 most recent codes are displayed.

Toner Density Adjustment Operation.

Resets the Developer Counter and adjusts the Toner
Density.

Move Mirror To Lock
a) Press the Start key to move the mirror unit to the
locked position for transporting the copier.
b) When the mirror unit is locked, the machine will
not accept any numerical key input.
Note:
The locking operation is automatically reset when
the Power switch is turned ON again.
