• Check the connection between the camera and the unit. If a receiv-
er is being used, check if the power is supplied to the camera.
• Check if the selected camera input channel is not set to
accept video input signals from recorder.
• Check the level settings or camera access setting.
• When the unit is powered on or a camera is connected, black
bars may be seen on the monitor for several seconds with
images not supporting VD2 (images from recorder or cam-
eras of other manufacturers). To eliminate the black bars, set
VD2 to OFF.

• Check the LCD (or LED) display or indicators of system con-
troller. When "Busy (or the BUSY indicator)" is blinking (or
lighting), camera control is not available.

• Check if the DATA setting of the camera input channel is ON
in VD2/DATA/CABLE COMPENSATION of SETUP MENU.
• Check if the camera input channel is not set for RS-485
communication in RS485 CAMERA of SETUP MENU.
RS-485 communication:
• Check if the RS-485 port and unit numbers of camera input
channel is set properly in RS485 CAMERA of SETUP
MENU.
