Before Replacing the Cartridge

Replacement display
The volume of water which has run through the Alkaline Ionizer is totalized, and the remaining
cartridge life is indicated on the LCD display. Use this display as a general guideline for when to
replace the cartridge.
The cartridge life (12 000 liters) is a fi gure based on tests involving a standard water quality and
water pressure (JIS S 3201: Testing methods for household water purifi ers), and with tap water
in general there may a signifi cant diff erence in the clogging time depending on the water quality
(turbidity, iron rust, etc.) and water pressure.

Indicator
As the remaining cartridge life becomes shorter and shorter, the
black blocks "■" in the bar display disappears.
Remaining cartridge life display
This indicates in per 1-liter the remaining volume of water which
can be processed by the cartridge until the total run-through
water volume serving as the general guideline for when to
replace the cartridge.
When the display shows “150 L“ or less, the “Cartridge near end
of life” message appears.
Obtain a replacement cartridge.
Time for replacement of cartridge
Replace the cartridge when the following is indicated on the LCD display.

About

This display indicates that the cartridge has
come to the end of its life due to internal
clogging.
When water is run through the Alkaline
Ionizer, the LCD display changes to “Flow”.

This display indicates that the total run
through water volume has reached 12 000
liters.
