24 Basic Troubleshooting Guide
24.1. Before Repairing
[CAUTION] This system included HDD (Hardisk), be careful during handling, vibration, impact to HDD during shipment.
24.2. Precaution of Replacement of HDD (Hardisk)
This system included HDD(Hardisk), when replace HDD, must process [HDD format], [CD title information], and [set unit programe].
Then update system software.
After format and Initialization setting, data in HDD will be lost.
Handling of HDD
When replacing HDD, please make the rear jumper slave or
cable select configuration
The following precautiions should be taken when handling HDD.
1. Never give an impact to HDD. (Even a drop from 1cm height can
be a couse of HDD failure.
2. When placing HDD on a workbench, provide a mat on a bench for
shock absorption and anti-static purpose.
3. When installing HDD, release it from your hands only after confirming
that it is fully set on the chassis.
4. Avoid stacking up HDD.
5. HDD is unstable and easy to fall. Do not stand it on its side face.
6. When handling HDD, hold its side faces to avoid static hazard.
7. Do not place HDD on its wrapping bag after removal. ( Prevention
of static hazard.
8. Use a screwdriver with low impact and anti-static features.
(CAUTION)
After replacemenet HDD, please process initialization
HDD with [HDD Initialization disk] and must update the latest system
software.
Shipment after repairing, checking set, please delete recorded data in set.
for reference, follow below instruction
(1) Top menu - Other - Select all tunes, delete all tunes in sub menu,
data in HDD be deleted.
(2) After power off by pressing power button, pulling out and remove
the electrical outlet.
24.3. Precaution of Repairing Digital P.C.B.
Repairing digital P.C.B, except special IC replacement, process below with technician viewpoint.
(1) Reformat HDD.
(2) With copyright problem, backup data in personal computer can not be return to HDD.
(CAUTION)
After replacemenet digital P.C.B. and IC1400, please process initialization
HDD with [HDD Initialization disk] and must update the latest system
software.
Shipment after repairing, checking set, please delete recorded data in set.
for reference, follow below instruction
(1) Top menu - Other - Select all tunes, delete all tunes in sub menu,
data in HDD be deleted.
(2) After power off by pressing power button, pulling out and remove
the electrical outlet.
