Method of Checking the Resistance of Electronic Expansion Valve Coil and Oil Level
Switch
(1) Electronic expansion valve coil: Used in Oil control electronic expansion valve (MOV1), Electronic expansion
valve for pressure reduction (MOV5), Electronic expansion valve for gas
return (MOV6) and Electronic expansion valve for liquid return (MOV7)
Measure the resistance with the connector disconnected from the control PCB, and check if the resistance value
is normal level by using the table below.

Note
: Ambient temperature 20°C
1. The control PCB will fail when the refrigerator power is supplied while the coil resistance is 0 Ω (shorted).
2. When a motion failure of an electronic expansion valve is questioned, always check the resistance value of the
electronic expansion valve before replacing the control PCB.
(2) Oil level switch
Measure the resistance while the connector is disconnected from the control PCB, and check if the contacts are
normal in the table below.
