Remote Operation
7.4 Operating from a remote location
You can call your unit from a remote location and access the answering machine.
Important:

Program the remote operation ID beforehand (feature #11, page 51).
L
Set the unit to TAM/FAX mode before going out (page 35).
L
Use a touch tone telephone for remote operations.
Helpful hints:

When you press a key, press firmly.
L
Please make a copy of the following table, and carry it with you when you go out.
7.4.1 Listening to recorded
messages

Call your unit.

Enter the remote operation ID during the
TAM/FAX greeting message.

Start remote operations.
When there are new recorded messages
1. A long beep will sound.
2. Short beep(s) will sound up to 8 times.

This indicates the number of new
messages.
3. New messages will be played back.
When there are no new messages
A short beep will not sound.
1. Wait for 4 seconds or press

2. All the recorded messages will be played
back.
When voice memory is full
6 beeps will sound after playing back the
messages. Erase any unnecessary
messages.
7.4.2 Remote operations using
the remote command key

: repeats a message. If you press this key
within 5 seconds of the beginning of a message,
the previous message will be played.

: skips a message.
