To display the list of programmes found with
the set keyword
Press the yellow button in “Keyword Recording”
screen.
Recording takes place in the following order of
priority:
Keyword Recording may not work in some cases.
To avoid recording failure, we recommend using
Timer Recording instead of Keyword Recording.
Changing the recording method
Select the programme marked “
F
”
(Blue), then
press the red button on the Keyword Recording
status screen or TV Guide screen. (

Keyword Recording conditions
Search Conditions:
Keyword 1-16
Input the keyword to be registered.
• Refer to “Entering text”. (

• Default keyword is the programme title
selected on the TV Guide screen.
If the programme title includes its episode
number, etc., delete the number before
registering the title.
Search Target
Select the search target.
Extra Word Settings
1 Add up to two keywords and two excluded
words to refine search conditions.
2 Select “Set”, then press [OK].
Search Channel
The Keyword Recording function can search
the First 250 channels listed on “All DVB
Channels” or the First 50 channels registered
for “Favourites1”.
• When setting “First 50 Favourites1” as a
search target, register the channels you want
to search with Keyword Recording to the First
50 channels of “Favourites1” in advance.

Detail Search Condition
Set the detailed search condition. Narrow down
programmes with specified criteria to search for
only the programme you want to record.
Programme Type
Select the programme type. If, for example,
you select “Art/Culture”, only the programmes
related to arts and culture are searched.
Free Services Only Record
Select whether to limit the search to free
programmes or to include pay-per-view
programmes in the search.
Video Format
Select whether to include HD and/or SD
programmes in the search.
Remove Duplicates
When there are multiple programmes with the
same title, start time and length, only the
programme closest to the top of the channel
list will be recorded.
Recording Settings:
Recording Mode (Picture Quality)
Refer to step on page 35, “Recording TV
programmes”.
Subtitle
You can choose whether or not to record the
subtitle at conversion.

Signal Supported Recording
You can choose whether or not to use the
Signal Supported Recording function. (

Blue: Recording has already been set with a
different Keyword.

Red: Timer recording standby is activated.
Priority order of Keyword Recording
1 A programme that is already being recorded
2 Timer Recording
3 Keyword Recording (programmes will be
recorded in ascending order from keyword
number 1 to 16)
4 A programme that starts first
• Programmes set for timer recordings are not treated as
Keyword Recording programmes.
