Standby Settings
Quick Start
• On:
It is possible to start quickly from standby
mode.
• Off:
Power consumption in standby mode is
minimised. (

However, startup time from standby mode
will be longer.
• Timer Setting for Quick Start:
“Quick Start” is activated when the set time
comes.
• When “Home Network function” (
>
99), “TV
Anywhere” (

99) or “DVB-via-IP Server” (

100) is
set to “On”, the setting for this function is fixed to “On”.
• If “Off” or “Timer Setting for Quick Start” is selected, the
setting for “Front Panel Display” in “Display” is fixed to
“Automatic”. (

Automatic Standby
Set the time to turn the unit to standby mode
automatically.
When the unit is not operating, the unit will be
turned to standby mode once the set time has
passed.
Automatic Standby after OTR
• On:
This unit is turned to standby mode when it
is not operated for approximately 5 minutes
after completing “Automatic Stop” or
“Recording Time” (
>
35).
Automatic Standby after Copy
• On:
This unit is turned to standby mode when it
is not operated for approximately 5 minutes
after completing copy (
>
65, Copying from
media other than HDD with Video Menu,

66, Copying programmes with copying
list).

Set whether to output the broadcasting signal
from RF OUT or not while in standby mode
(When “Quick Start” is not activated).
• If “On” is selected, the broadcast signal is
looped through by this unit and power
consumption in standby exceeds 0.5 W
slightly. (approx. 0.7 W)
• If “Off” is selected, the broadcast signal is
not looped through by this unit and power
consumption in standby becomes less than
0.5 W. (approx. 0.3 W)
Networked Standby
This unit can be turn on using a wake-up
message sent from the network device in the
home network. (Available only when “Quick
Start” is set to “Off”.)
• On:
- Power consumption increases when this
unit is in standby mode. (

- This unit can be used as a DLNA Server
when this unit is in standby mode. (This is
possible if you have ever connected your
client Panasonic recorder to the network
using this unit as a server.)
• Off:
- Power consumed when this unit is in
standby mode becomes smaller than that
consumed when “On” is selected. (

- When this unit is in standby mode, it
cannot be used as a DLNA Server.
• When you change the “On”/“Off” setting of
this function, the “On”/“Off” setting of “Home
Network function” also changes.
• If “Quick Start” and “Home Network function”
are set to “On”, even when this unit is turned
off, it can be used as a DLNA Server.
• This function may not work correctly depending on
network environment.
