8. System Behaviour during Duty Rotation
8.1
Duty Rotation Mechanism
• Upon turning Duty Rotation ON from OFF, Main unit will be
turned on (becomes running unit). Sub unit will become the
backup unit.

Duty Rotation
ON
• After rotation interval ends, Main unit will be turned off
(becomes backup unit) and Sub unit will be turned on (becomes
running unit) for the next rotation cycle. Role of running and
backup unit will rotate between Main and Sub unit for each new
rotation cycle.
8.2 Unit Response when Error is Encountered During Duty Rotation
• When a CNT communication error is detected on the running
unit, the running unit will continue its previous state but backup
unit will be turned on with rotation counter cleared (blank).
• When a CNT communication error is detected on the backup
unit, both running unit and backup unit will continue its previous
state with rotation counter cleared.
• When a system error (indicated by timer LED blinking) is
detected on the running unit and the running unit is turned off,
backup unit will be turned on with rotation counter cleared.
• When a system error detected on the backup unit and backup
unit is turned off, rotation counter is cleared.
