Turn your computer on

Replace the second item in the “CAUTION” for the following.

Select your operating system
Select "Windows NT Workstation Version 4.00" and press
Enter

Logon
Wait for 10 seconds after confirming that the HDD access has been completed, then press
Ctrl
+
Alt
+
Del
.
Input your password
Input the user name and password, then press [OK]. If [Cancel] is clicked, the computer will return to
the initial [Begin Logon] display. Until the correct user name and password are entered, the computer
will not operate.
Select your application
You are able to start working on your computer.

NOTE
The power saving function is factory set to remove power from the LCD if the computer is not
operated or no access is made to a device for two minutes. The LCD will resume normal operation
if the touch pad is moved or if a key on the keyboard is depressed.
CAUTION
After confirming that the power indicator has turned on, avoid the following until Windows has
completed loading.
• Connecting or disconnecting the AC adapter.
• Touching the power switch or the sleep switch.
• Performing any keyboard or touch pad (or external mouse) operations.
• Closing the display.
If the display is closed while Windows is starting up, it is possible that color, etc., will not be
displayed properly. Run the [Command Prompt] ([Start] - [Programs] - [Command Prompt]),
and use full screen display mode by pressing
Alt
+
Enter
. After returning from the full
screen mode (
Alt
+
Enter
again), the display will be shown correctly.
Replace the "Starting Up" steps for the following.
“OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (page 12)”
NOTE
If the right screen is displayed:
When the AC adapter is connected, press [Yes],
and then restart the computer.
When the AC adapter is not connected, press [No].
