Controls and settings from web screen
(continued)
Transmission type
[Unicast port (AUTO), Unicast port (MANUAL)]
<Initial setting: Unicast port (AUTO)>
The transmission system for the H.264 images is selected
here.
Unicast port
(AUTO)
With this setting, up to 14 users can
access one camera at the same time.
When sending images from the unit,
“Unicast port” is selected automatically.
If there is no need to always use the
same port number for sending the
H.264 images in cases where the unit
is used in a network, for instance, it
is recommended that “Unicast port
(AUTO)” be selected.
Unicast port
(MANUAL)
With this setting, up to 14 users can
access one camera at the same time.
When sending images from the
camera, “Unicast port” must be set
manually.
When sending H.264 images over
the internet, always use the same
communication-enabled port number
that is set in the broadband router
(hereafter, the “router”).
For further details, refer to the
operating instructions of the router
used.
●
●
When “Unicast port (MANUAL)” has been selected,
the “Unicast port” must be set.
Note
Unicast port [1024 to 50000]
(Only even numbers can be set)
<Initial setting: 32004>
The Unicast port number (used when sending images
from the unit) is input here.
●
●
When sending H.264 images over the internet or VPN, the
images sent may not be displayed.
In a case like this, check with the network administrator.
●
●
When there is not enough bandwidth for the entire
system, the frame rate for both H.264 and JPEG
video is automatically reduced.
●
●
In a system where IP video is simultaneously
transmitted from a number of AW-HE60 cameras
and viewed on a number of personal computers or
cellular phones simultaneously, pay attention to the
following in setting up each device.
●
●
Set an upper limit of 15 Mbps for the bit rate of
the entire system.
●
●
Transmission of JPEG video requires greater
bandwidth than H.264 video transmission. For
that reason it is recommended that the frame
rate for JPEG video be reduced.
●
●
Since the bandwidth for wireless LAN is
generally narrow, the device configuration should
be limited to the necessary minimum.
If effective bandwidth is not available, IP video
will not be displayed properly and it may not
be possible to control the cameras.
