Chapter 6. Serial Communications
The available rates are 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19200 baud. After
verifying or changing the baud rate setting, press the
[EXIT]
key three times to return
to standard measurement mode.

6.4 Setting Up the
Terminal
Software
Specific instructions are given in this manual for communicating with personal
computers running under the Windows 9X/NT operating systems.
Note:
For computers operating under other operating systems, contact the factory
for assistance or consult the operating system manual supplied with the
computer.
6.4.1
Windows 9X/NT
Systems
Windows 9X/NT systems use a program called
Hyperterminal
to access the serial
ports. To set up serial communications with a personal computer running under
Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT, make sure the GC868 is powered on and
complete the following steps:

From the Windows START menu, select
PROGRAMS>
ACCESSORIES>HYPERTERMINAL>HYPERTERMINAL
.

The
NEW CONNECTION
window should appear (if it does not, select it from the
FILE
menu). After entering the desired
CONNECTION NAME
and selecting an
ICON,
click on
OK
.
