ADJUSTING THE HEMMED EDGES
N.B. Before making this adjustment, switch the
machine off and cut the compressed air
supply.
To get even hems, check that the items to be
hemmed remain parallel to stop square “B” (fig. 2)
as they are drawn into the machine.
If they look like that shown in fig. 3/A:
- Loosen the 2 central screws “C” and the 4 nuts “D”
(fig. 4) on both sides;
- Adjust the 4 screws “E” so that the belt presses
more towards the inside of the machine.
If they look like that shown in fig. 3/B:
- Adjust in the opposite fashion so that the belt pres-
ses more towards the outside of the machine.
If the internal folds are not constant and uniform
(fig. 5), slightly increase the machine point or
decrease the number of stepping motor impulses
(see specific paragraph below).
If you want to increase the sewing point, you must
also increase the machine point and the number of
stepping motor impulses.
Likewise, to decrease this, you must also decrease
the machine point and the number of stepping motor
impulses.
