Machine descriptions and functions
The davit is a welded construction, consisting of a pedestal, an inner column, an outer
are mounted on the frame.
Before using the davit the davit arm must be turned up. To do this, put the hand crank
HC
in the crank housing
CH
and rotate. The wire rope
WR
will turn the davit arm up to its working
position. When the davit is at the right angle push the pin
CH
in its place. Now the davit arm
is in position for use.
For storage use the brake lever
BL
to lower the boat to the cradle. Release the boat from the
hook. Hoist the hook to the highest position using the hand crank
HC
in the crank housing
CH
.
Pull out the pin
PP
and lower the davit arm using the brake lever
BL
.
This davit is supplied with a 04-04 E winch. The drum
DR
is the part of the winch that the
wire rope is rolled onto. An electric motor
EM
rotates the drum for hoisting.

• Hand wheel
The hand wheel
HW
can be used to lower an empty hook.
• Centrifugal brake
The centrifugal brake
CB
keeps the gravity lowering speed within acceptable limits.
• Stop brake
Lifting the brake lever
BL
will set free the coupling between the gear unit and the drum. This
makes lowering of the boat possible.
The brake lever must be released abruptly and not too slowly. This gives the brake lever
weight enough energy to stop the load.
When the brake lever
BL
is released, the connection between the gear train and the drum will
be closed again. This will prevent further lowering of the boat.
