Installing or replacing the batteries in the light:
1. The light must be removed from the PDT handle.
2. Rotate the back of the light module counter- clockwise.
Pull the back off the module.
3. Install the 3 batteries in the module.
4. Attach the back of the module & rotate in a clockwise
direction to lock in place.
Turning light ON & OFF:
1. Push the light switch forward to turn the light OFF, &
back to turn the light ON.
Pick, wire hook & spudger applications:
1. Use the wire hook to loop wires & feed through small
access holes.
2. Use the pick (sharpened tooth) to split bonded pairs,
strip insulation off wires, pick debris from contacts &
strip the outer jacket off cables.
3. Use the spudger tip to insert wires into older style IDC
bifurcated terminals, scrape wire debris from blocks, or
use as a screwdriver.
Blade storage:
1. To open latch, push forward following the direction of
the arrow.
2. To close latch, push cover down & push in opposite
direction of arrow. Latch locks in place.
Standard Network, Data, & Telephone Termination:
1. Install the wire into the bifurcated IDC termination
panel contact.
2. Align the punch down blade over the wire & contact.
3. Depress the tool handle until the impact mechanism
punches down & terminates the wire into the contact.
Verify the wire is fully seated.
4. Set to “LO” for all 24 AWG wires. Try the “HI” setting
for 23 - 22 AWG wires.
