VENT TERMINAL MINIMUM
CLEARANCES
VENT TERMINAL INSTALLATION
NOTE: THE VENT TERMINAL MUST BE POSITIONED SO THAT
THE FLUE OUTLET IS POINTING UP.
1) Install the vent terminal backing plate on the outside wall (see Fig.
#11). When placing the backing plate, make sure the 7" collar
inserts into the corresponding vent pipe. Attach backing plate to
the outside wall with screws at each corner. Fasten the vent pipe
in place with sheet metal screws through the holes provided in the
collar.
2) Attach vent terminal box to the backing plate with screws provided.
Make sure the 5" collar inserts into the corresponding vent pipe.
3) Caulk in place to prevent any moisture entering the structure.
MINIMUM CLEARANCES TO THE VENT TERMINAL MUST BE
MAINTAINED. (SEE FIG. # 10)
