Instructions regarding earth connections and static electricity (for oil-based
materials)
Always use a metal bucket for oil-based materials
that require an oil-based cleaning fluid when you
need to flush the system or relieve the pressure.
Follow local guidelines. Only use a bucket made
of conductive metal and place it on a surface with
an earth connection, such as concrete.
Do not place the bucket on a non-conductive
surface such as paper or cardboard, which
prevents an earth connection.
The equipment must have an earth connection to
reduce the risk of static sparking and electric shock.
An electric or static spark can cause vapours to
ignite or explode. A poor earth connection can
cause electric shock. A good earth connection
forms a path for the current down into the ground
.
