Problem
Cause
Solution
The inlet strainer is clogged
or the suction hose is not
submerged in the paint.
Clean the strainer and make
sure the suction hose is
submerged in the paint.
The extension cable is too
long or not thick enough.
Replace the extension cable.
Pump valves are worn or
clogged. Inlet and return.
Check both valves for wear
and/or deposits.

Prime the sprayer
with paint.
•
Release the gun
briefly.
•
When the trigger is
released, the pump should
run briefly and then stop.
•
If the pump
continues, the pump valves
may be worn or clogged.
•
Clean and reinstall
the valves.
The material is too viscous.
Dilute the material – follow
the manufacturer's
instructions.
The air hose is too long (if an
extra section is connected).
Remove the extra section.
The spray gun stops
spraying while the trigger is
activated.
The nozzle is clogged.
Clean the nozzle.
The equipment has lost
prime.

The layer is too thick.
Move the gun faster.
